Microsoft Edge is set to be enhanced with a new feature: usage data sync capability, which allows users to keep their Edge browser data the same across multiple devices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Feature Usage is a new type of data that can be synchronized. This means users will be able to sync information about how they use various Edge browser features across all their devices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a recent entry<\/a> to the Microsoft 365 Roadmap, the Redmond-based tech giant says it’s bringing it to the web version of the Edge browser and will also encompass data from the mobile version.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Edge Sync, which enables users to synchronize their Edge user data across multiple devices, is now launching a new sync data category called Feature Usage. This new category will allow users to synchronize data regarding their utilization of Edge features across all their devices.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

In essence, this new update will let you see and use data about how you interact with Edge features on any device.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While this might not be of much utility to regular users, other than offering information about time spent browsing on Edge, the feature could be useful to organizations seeking to understand how their employees work and browse in Microsoft Edge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new Feature Usage will be released in Microsoft Edge January 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
