Microsoft has just rolled out Patch Tuesday updates for Windows 11 24H2, 23H2, and 22H2. The 24H2 update is delivered via KB5046617, while the 23H2 and 22H2 update comes in via KB5046633. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This month’s updates are mostly focused on security and quality improvements, but there are a few notable changes to be aware of.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

KB5046617 is the most substantial update, fixing an issue where the number of groups in Task Manager is displayed incorrectly when arranged by type. It also resolves an issue where devices may lose internet access due to duplicate DHCP options issued by a server.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) users will be pleased to learn that KB5046617 addresses a bug that prevented access to the development drive. Microsoft says it’s aware of a single known issue in this update: players on Arm devices cannot download and play Roblox via the Microsoft Store.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

KB5047621 is a servicing stack update that improves the quality of the component responsible for installing Windows updates. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It also fixes an issue that prevents the OpenSSH service from starting after the installation of the October 2024 security update, causing SSH connections to fail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While KB5047621 is necessary for a smooth Windows update experience, installing immediately is not essential. The same is true of KB5046617. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Most users will download and install both updates automatically, but those who prefer to install patches manually can grab KB5046633<\/a> and KB5046617<\/a> from the Microsoft Update Catalog. You can read more about these updates in the official changelog here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
