How do I restrict Internet access to apps in Windows 11?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

1. Via the Windows Defender Firewall<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

  1. Press Windows<\/kbd> + S<\/kbd> to open the Search<\/em> menu, type Control Panel<\/strong> in the text field, and click the relevant search result.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Click on System and Security<\/strong>.\"system<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Click on Windows Defender Firewall<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Select Advanced settings<\/strong> from the left pane.\"advanced<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Choose Outbound Rules<\/strong>, and then click on New Rule<\/em> on the right-hand side.\"outbound<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n

    1. Press Windows<\/kbd> + R<\/kbd> to open Run<\/em>, type cmd<\/strong>, and hit Ctrl<\/kbd> + Shift<\/kbd> + Enter<\/kbd>.\"cmd\"<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Click Yes<\/strong> in the UAC<\/em> prompt.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Paste the following command to set up an inbound rule while replacing Path<\/em> with the app’s storage location, and hit Enter<\/kbd>:netsh advfirewall firewall add rule name=\"FF Block In\" protocol=TCP dir=in action=block program=\"Path\"<\/strong><\/code><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    4. For instance, if we were to block the Brave browser, the command would be: netsh advfirewall firewall add rule name=\"FF Block In\" protocol=TCP dir=in action=block program=\"C:\\Program Files\\BraveSoftware\\Brave-Browser\\Application\\brave.exe\"<\/strong><\/code>\"block<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    5. Similarly, execute the following two commands and replace Path<\/em> with the actual program path as found in the File Explorer: netsh advfirewall firewall add rule name=\"FF Block TCP\" protocol=TCP dir=out action=block program=\"Path\"<\/strong><\/code> netsh advfirewall firewall add rule name=\"FF Block UDP\" protocol=UDP dir=out action=block program=\"Path\"<\/strong><\/code><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
